Digital Recommendations

I'm thinking about going to digital SLR. I have been looking at the Olympus C5060. However I just heard that perhaps it may be discontinued soon. Also, a rumor that there are reliability problems. Anyone have any thoughts on the C5060 as a choice or other recommendations. I don't want to get too exotic. On the other hand I would rather pay for a good system rather than be cheap and get something I will hate.

Thanks,

Wayne
