  1. I hope none of us just bought a D2H!

The price of the D2H dropped like the proverbial stone overnight, and apparently the camera is showing signs of being discontinued. Street price for today, getem while you can, is $1999.99 !!!

Many many rumbings on the web about a new D2HS to be announced soon. Ostensibly 8MP 8FPS, indentical body, different imager, similar price to D2H. Bring it on!

  2. It sounds like the hope of a unified body design for a DSLR is comming closer to fruition.

It would be a great thing to upgrade your camera and keep your housing. One housing that accomidates 3 top of the line SLRs.

I don't see why this wouldn't be. You would think that pros would like to upgrade their camera without learning new button positions and that after all these years that the ergonomics should be pretty well defined. Still I never thought I'd see it.

This will be great if it plays out this way. I'll continue to watch the development of this camera. :D

  3. It would be awesome if Nikon would accept the old D2h for a sensor and buffer upgrade like Kodak does for their cameras. When Kodak did that, they offered $1000 off the price of the 14n just before they announced the new camera. Hmm....

    Cheers

    James

  4. Plus a sub-$2000 D2H would make a good backup for a D2X? One of the problems I have found with DSLRs is that tey cost too much for me to have a second digital as a backup - and film always seems to fill that roll.

  5. Just bought my Christmas present. $1995 at B&H.
