I used this on my Aquatica D810 housing. Works perfect. Has some tiny scratches near the retaining clip from the time I had nothing but a hex wrench to install the retaining clip. The scratches are nowhere near where the O-rings seal, not even on the same surface. The white thing is a little thingy I 3d printed to retain the clip and ball bearings while traveling.

For what it's worth the part that is still attached to the housing that this fits into is part of the viewfinder not the housing and it should be sold with the viewfinder. Unless you have another inon viewfinder that needs the adapter that is still in the housing.

Thank you so much! I completely forgot about that piece. That piece and the associated O rings will be included. Pic of bare housing to show there is nothing left.
Is this an inon 45 degree viewfinder for an inon housing with an aquatica adapter?
Not really? It's sold by Inon specifically for Aquatica housings. I guess you could consider the piece that interfaces with the housing to be an "adapter" but it is all sold as one.
According to their website, they have 2 versions of the viewfinder, one for inon housing and one for nauticam housing. I am looking for one compatible with the inon housing. I believe you have one of these models with an aquatica adapter.
Their website lists the following:
Quote
45º Viewfinder Unit II for X-2 (for INON X-2 series housings) JAN code : 4562121439306
45º Viewfinder Unit II for Nauticam (for Nauticam housings) JAN code : 4562121439887
If you can determine that you have the inon model, then I'm interested. Maybe verify where you purchased it from?
For clarity, I have an adapter for the inon model to a Sea & Sea housing.
No, the "Viewfinder II" has only been around for about 2-3 years I believe. This is the first version.
I was thinking, if you can't verify the model, maybe we could measure sizes. The piece blibecap referenced is the adapter for the housing. What's the size of the hole the viewfinder inserts into on the adapter?
My adapter has a hole which is 3/4 of an inch for which the inon viewfinder would fit into.

That page asks you to select the adapter, so it might work for my needs.
after reading that page I am less sure, I always thought these were made by Inon for different housings, but it sure seems like Backscatter was making at least some of the adapters in house. Regardless, its likely the same viewfinder either way and only the adapter piece varies. i'll measure it.
The hole in the adapter that the viewfinder inserts into is 20.7mm in diameter and 16.6mm in depth (measured by eye because I don't want to stick the sharp metal of my calipers onto the critical surfaces of the adapter.
If you let me keep the Aquatica adapter (which i think you don't need?) I'll cover shipping costs if it doesn't work for you.
I am selling this plus an adapter for Aquatica, I guess:
I got my caliper out to measure the hole more precisely. I too, don't want to insert into the hole. I measured 20.6mm which could easily match the 20.7mm since we are technically eyeballing it. Depth is where we have different values. My adapter hole depth is 17.25mm. I'm not sure what this means as far as compatibility. Is the newer inon model longer?
i am guessing it is the same, I wasn't terribly careful when measuring that aspect of it. Also I measured it without including a thin plastic washer which likely makes up most of that difference.
Let me think on it. I really would prefer the newest model or the Sea&Sea model. I'll hit you up if I decide to move forward, and if you still have it for sale, we can go from there. Thanks for measuring!
