I've took the step from reading all the arguments, sorry, threads on corner sharpness to actually go and take some photos! Only problem is I don't know what this little critter is unfortunately.
Taken near Tulamben In Bali ( I think it was the Sidem dive site ). Size wise, I shot it with the Sony 90mm and SMC-1 and its almost a full frame shot, so I'd guess he's somewhere around 15mm in length
Yes, the nudibranch Bornella, maybe sp.2, is a good match for a photo that is barely adequate with most of the nudibranch being out of focus, as the photo is "head-on".
Nudibranch photos are best taken from the side, in order to show the entire animal, its head, rhinophores, body and branchia. As nowadays taking u.w. photos is so easy, it is a good idea to take plenty of photos of each animal, some for identification, others for display.

Which source pls? When giving a sp. number you should also quote the source because the sp. number vary according to say Erwin Kohler seaslug site or NSSI2 or any other source.
Thanks to you both, I appreciate the responses
Kracken - it was a deliberate shot trying to provide something different from an ID shot. Not saying to worked but that was the attempt

I reckon it worked, Mike. That's a pretty cool shot.

Cheers Tim - and on a more important note - UP THE BLUES!
@pooley & @TimG - I find myself now rooting for an Italian club...

Ohh, what a pity, I was just about to offer you a free month long dive trip on my private yacht in the Maldives as well.
Never mind, better luck next time......

Oh dear. It must be jealousy, right, Mike?
Treble, anyone?
(Wednesday night was the finestfootball/soccer performance I have ever seen.)
For me, it totally works - just a different shot than all the standard nudi pictures.
Damn, when we dived Tulamben, we focussed too much on the wreck - I'd have loved to see either of the nudis you posted. Both are great photos in my opinion.
Thanks MTH, I'll probably get round to a couple more. Loads of nudis there as you would expect but I did find myself drawn to the slighter larger stuff - gobies, shrimps etc
