  1. Nikon SB-105 strobes with D-70

I just bought the new Nexus housing for my D70, and really don't have enough money to invest in new strobes so wonder if anyone has used dual SB-105's with their D70? Couple of questions....

    (1) Will the SB-105's work with the iTTL of the D70. Can I use the TTL setting on the strobes?

    (2) Will dual SB-105's have enough coverage for the 10.5 mm or 12-24mm lens?

    (3) Am I wasting time with my old SB-105's? Should I invest in a new system?

Thanks (in advance) for your advice.

  2. The SB 105 can't work with the iTTL as far as I know.

I have one SB 105 that work only in manual mode with my Ikelite housing.

For more answers you'll have to wait for people with more experience with those strobes, there are few here that use or used them.

  3. Hi,

You'll only be able to use your manual power settings on the SB105 - but that should work just fine for you. You will get the 3 (or 4??) power settings, plus the diffuser. That should be more than enough. You'll probably want 1/2 power + diffusers for wide angle and full power with diffusers for macro.

    Cheers

    James
