Can you guess, or would you know, how this would work with the newer (larger) camera viewfinders? I am thinking about Nauticam's addition of the 0.8 viewfinders, now necessary if you want to see the whole viewfinder (I have a Sony A7RV, so it's pretty big).

The Inon viewfinder fits Inon and Isotta housings. But does it fit Nauticam and other make housings?
I kind of doubt it.It sure would be nice if all or most housing and viewfinder makers would agree to the same size viewfinder plug and orifice. As it is, Nauticam uses one viewfinder plug size, Subal a much larger one, etc, making it impossible to use Subal viewfinders on a Nauticam and viceversa.
The same applies to lens port sizes and number of locking blades (or "tongues") which are quite different between different brands of housings. If one switches from one make of housing to another, one has to buy new lens ports and extensions.
The current situation is in the short term great for sales, but the higher equipment cost ultimately cuts down on the number of underwater photographers

Hi,
The viewfinder is specifically designed for Nauticam housings. I can't comment on whether or not it would fit other housings.
In terms of the Sony A7RV I not sure how it would work. I used it with a Fuji GFX 50S in a nauticam housing housing and it worked well. Just didn't like the 45 degree viewfinder angle, so people love it some people dont . I have gone back to my original 180 degree viewfinder.
