Nikon 10.5 WA & Aquatica?
Anyone using the fairly new Nikon 10.5mm in an Aquatica housing? Specifically the D100 housing? Does it work under the 8"dome?

Yes, Ive got excellent results with the Aquatica 8" dome. I use the Fuji S2 but it's the same dome. Here's an example.
Hi Larry,
Nice shot. I noticed the "fuji green" in the water so I decided to try to color adjust your shot. I hope you don't mind.
I applied a -8 to the Green Constant in the channel mixer. Then I applied +4 units of Hue adjustment. What do you think? (I didn't adjust the curve, so it looks a bit dark).
Cheers
James
Lost a little highlight in the coral, but I think the color looks good.
Hi James,
I don't mind at all but I kind of prefer "Fuji" green to "Canon" blue. ![]()
Great shot, like the blue version but might give a little blue up for more definition. Larry what would you estimate your distance from the shark was? I assume this is a good lens for over/under shots?
Here is the link to some shots I did year ago, nice combination and combined with the Nikon Capture 4, can yeld decent rectiliniear shot when edges of image are devoid of important details.

It's kind of like the Kodachrome vs Ektachrome arguments of the film era. I was always a Kodachrome guy (less blue.)
The shark was very close. I would quess less than 2ft. Probably more like 1.5 ft to 1 ft. I watch the subject thru the viewfinder till it fills a large enough portion of the frame.
I have not done any over/unders with this lens so I'm not sure about that. It might be too wide for some situations.
I checked the Aquatica Lens Chart and they don't list it. So just want to confirm you can shoot this with a 8" dome and no extensions?
Jean's artical answered that question....
Here are some over-unders shot with the 10.5 and the Aquatica 8" dome:

These were my first over unders. Next time I'll remember to spit on the dome port first...:-)
