DS-125 beeping

Hi gang,

I'm a newby. Have any of you heard about the DS-125 beeping after the strobe has been powered up? I just purchased it new. It beeps about every 12 seconds after it is powered up and ready to fire. The beep is about 1/2 second long and not very loud. The strobe seems to work OK and I have recharged it with no apparent problems. The manual that came with it says nothing one way or the other about beeping. Comments please.

I think what you're hearing is the strobe battery recharging the flash. Mine do that if their not fired to keep them ready for a full flash.

I've had ths problem before, and it was caused by a loose or broken pin in the Manual controller. I would look very closely at the pins and connections in the sync cord and it's attachements. You may have a bad connection as well.

Mine, too, do that all the time. It's normal. Capacitor keeping juiced.
