B&H still show this as instock. You should have no trouble getting it in two weeks if you paid for fast shipping.
Was thinking more a long the lines of used, anyone?
Very sorry to hear about your disaster.![]()
You might try http://www.keh.com/shop/product.cfm?bid=DN...ed&crid=9762091 KEH where they seem to have a Like New one in stock. I have found them very reliable.
Just checked and http://www.adorama.com/US%20%20%20%20182272.html Adorama seem to have a used one in stock too.
Unless you plan on upgrading in the near future buy 2 while they're still available. Use the second camera for topside shots.

$919 in good condition. I have used KEH a lot in my younger days, they are very reliable. I agree that if you intend to stay with the D100, get two. I won't change systems until something comes out that is TOTALLY essential and can out print a 20 by 30 with very noticeable improvements.
Sorry abou the flood. Been there done that. Always feels like I lost my best friend.

Martin,
I have heard that these guys are pretty reliable, but I have no formal experience. $850 and it shows in stock. Might be a Grey Market, but at this point do you care?
Joe
Thanks all. I don't intend on upgrading for a while, have to learn how to use what I have. Due to a recent buying spree, 105mm, 10.5mm, Fisheye focus light, I am looking to save money before our trip in two weeks on the Kona Aggressor. For now willing to look at a used body, down the road, need to close a few deals, can buy a new body and use the other as back up.
I have 2 that I was planning to take to ebay next week. I'm not familiar with KEH's rating system, but one is a conservative 9, another 8. PM me if you are interested.
Good luck with your camera situation. That's a real, last minute bummer.
When you return please post a couple comments on your experience with the Kona Aggressor, as I've been considering going on a trip with them later in the year.
Have a good trip.
Ryan to the rescue, fair price and get to deal with someone dependable rather than some stranger from ebay.
Thanks for all the advice. I will say if you do want a D100 new they are not as easy to find as one would think.
Way to go Martin....I am truley happy for you. I have flooded a housing three times and it is a pretty crummy feeling....not to mention a few strobes. I will say that I have never figured out how I flooded my housings like you may have. I honestly think it was an inherent problem with skinny o-rings by Subal. This is my way of not blaming myself.
Please let me know how your Kona trip goes.
Your buddy, Joe
Now that some time has passed and I have another body on the way here is what happened. I just got my new Fisheye focus light which I wanted to test with my 105mm lens. A long time buddy who had not been out in a while wanted to come along (I usually dive solo). Due to schedules we could not wait for slack tide so there was a bit of a current and about 100yrd surface swim. Dive was going fine, and the focus light was working great. At about 60ft and 20min into the dive my buddy signaled he was having trouble with his reg and his octo. I gave him my octo (I dive with a pony) and gave him the universal “what do you want to do look?” He was pointing to his 1st stage and I figured out he might not have opened the valve all the way, did that once myself. Due to the current, drysuits, drygloves, etc… I handed him my camera why I went to his back to turn the valve. Of course it was just about closed. I opened it, he checked his reg, everything was good and handed me the camera back, by the port. We had drifted a bit so we dropped to the bottom where I spotted a nudi to take a pic of. As I brought the camera up something felt wrong, I put my hand on the flat port and IT MOVED. In fact it almost came off. I pushed it back on and turned it, but by this time it was too late. Signaled to my buddy and we ascended. On the surface there was so much water in the housing I cracked the housing open and water just rushed out. Of course we had a long surface swim back and a panicked drive to one of the local pro camera shops. The lens they saved but the camera was lost.
So it was a combination of a long surface swim, a flat port with extension ring, my buddy handling it and the seconds it took me to figure out what was wrong. Such is the nature of the sport.
