  1. I Love It!

  2. I'm a little disappointed with the color in these images. The cowfish looks illuminated by the strobe, but quite drab in comparison to what they are in real life. Similarly with the xmas trees in the S2 macro post - bright exposure but still poor color. Is this an S2 trait? Perhaps the color is a casualty of compression and file size reduction.

  3. No, this is not a camera problem - it's "pilot error." :)

This only my second attempt at wideangle photography Kasey - I have a lot to learn. The background is underexposed and the foreground is overexposed.

Why don't you take a look at the full gallery to see a variety of wideangle shots? It's posted at:

    As the first story.

  4. Are you using auto white balance? I think that even the overexposed foreground should give you more color.

You will quickly learn to err on the side of underexposure when shooting digital - you'll be amazed at how well photoshop can restore underexposed images.

  5. Yes, auto white balance.

Some of my wideangle shots were underexposed and I broght them up by leveling out the RGB histogram in photoshop.

    Cheers

  6. Have you tried cloudy? Might help you avoid the blue cast. I typically shoot with auto as well, but I've found that cloudy can be brighter and more consistent.

  7. How do you post a photo here?
