  1. Fuji S3 housing

it seems to me that no one is going to step up and make an S3 housing as of this moment. i would still love to take mine UW though. does anyone here have an S2 camera and housing, as well as an S3. i want to know if they would fit in the same housing. i know that some button function would be lost, but i don't have an S2 to compare my S3 to. if no one decides they want to make a housing what's the possability of a custom housing being made? i think that just a back would need to be make considering this camera should fit in the front of any S2 housing. i think the only one who would do it is ikelite, am i correct?

  2. We wish it would be oh! so easy, but I alas, the first thing I did when we got the S3 in store was to bring my S2 camera & Aquatica, first thing I notice was that the camera is higher and has a thicker rear so, not an easy conversion, there is mucho surgery to be done to put this guy in a S2 housing, Too bad I would love to see the result, I saw really good stuff done with this camera.

  3. yeah don't want to do major surgery. so would any companies make a custom housing?

  4. Jean,

How do you determine which cameras you house?

  5. I think that for anyone looking to house an S3, you should look at housings for the F5 or the D2h/x and adapt the base plate. At least give the camera a try to see what it can do.

I'd love to adapt it to the Aquatica F5 housing, which already has an ample LCD window in the back.

    Cheers

  6. that's an interesting idea. making a baseplate wouldn't be that big of a deal. i just need to find and f5 housing that i can test fit the camera in.
