  1. CP 8400 housing.

Ike has photos of his new CP 8400 housing on his web site. He says they are working on a dome port for the optional wide angle lens.

  2. ooch....

    Still No TTL ....

Dose that mean ike's still cannot track down Nikon's iTTL??

I've waited for long for the iTTL for the all-too-good D70 from ike...!!

  3. What about a dome port for the standard 24mm lens?

  4. We are working on dome port application for this camera and iTTL remains top priority............

  5. Hello

With a Ikelite sync cords #4103.51 and the protective cap Ikelite - to - Nikonos: #0301.1, do you think it would be possible to conect one or two Nikon SB 800 in Subal housing and have iTTL ?

If it is possible I would be very interested by Ike housing for the Coolpix 8400 as a complementary camera. If it is not possible I prefere wait for a Subal or Sea and Sea housing.

  6. I don't get it. Aside from the wide angle, this camera has so little going for it. Bad low light autofocus, slow raw cycle times, brief LCD screen freeze during autofocus.

Ike, how about a dome port for the canon pro1 housing?

    Thanks!

    Don

  7. Hope is to be shipping D70 housings with iTTL in April. Conversion circuitry for 8400 and 8800 is different and will follow. Housing SB800 strobes is not something we promote or recommend.

  8. What kind of trouble between housed SB800 and Coolpix 8400 in Ike housing ? Why would it not work fine ? Why Ikelite don't make strobe housing ?

If I get a iTTL camera I will need new strobes for under and above water. I will get SB800 as TTL strobe for my S2 pro and as iTTL for Cpx8400. Using the same strobes for land and underwater will be cheaper.

Thanks Ikelite for a precise answere

  9. Land strobes are too weak, and not the right color temperature for use underwater.

Most of the strobe housings out there cost near as much as an ikelite dedicated underwater strobe, so the savings is small at best.

  10. Derway is correct. We started with housings for surface strobes over 35 years ago and found we could produce a superior underwater strobe with better coverage and power for about the same cost. Non-TTL housing connects sync connectors only. TTL housing will include circuitry to allow our strobes to operate in the iTTL environment. Other make strobes will operate as manual only.

  11. Ok I understand

    Thank you
