  1. Yesterday in NH - NDR image

I feel sorry for all you folks that live in sunny and warm climes. Nothing like temps that hover around 0 F and snow driven by 35 MPH gales.

  2. How about a little boat dive. Umm...on second thought , I don't think so.

  3. Wonderful! Imagine trying to make a living as a commercial fisherman up there, or a commercial diver. BBRRRR!

    Cheers

    James

  4. As long as it doesn't stick to the water...

That first shot is really nice Larry. Make a nice Holiday card.

  5. AaaaH Larry, those balmy winter days of up north, poor folks down south will never feel the finer things of life up here, like the sensation you have when, for god know why, you stick your tong to the metal leg of your tripod in -30 Celsius, pity the lot of them.

  6. Even though I've done some winter diving in the ocean I don't get the whole ice diving concept. Seems kind of desperate to me.

  7. I did the ice diving course on a lake here a couple of years ago and quickly came to the realization that it's much more work than pleasure. Could be that our lake is muddy and there's not much to see at the best of times, but I'll take an ocean winter dive over a lake ice dive anytime.

Naw buddy, you just need organisation and the right equipments, I'm fortunate enough to be a member of a ice diving club that is populated by dedicated and team spirited individuals, we usually are set-up in less than 1/2 hour (including heated tent for dressing up) and ready to go down and wet.

I agree with lake diving, yuck! :(, but there is some venues with interesting wreck (boat, plane), but best of all is the light when the ice is clear of snow, WoW!

  9. 1/2 hour? Wow - you work fast!! Whenever I've been involved in an ice dive it seems like hours before we hit water!!

  10. O.K. so maybe 35 to 38 minutes, I tend to be romantic in my values.
