  1. inon 2000

i have a nexus d70 with inon z220s. if i get a inon2000, can i use my z220s as a slave to it , and still get both doing ttl? or do i need two inon 2000?

  2. Unless the Nexus D70 housing has iTTL conversion circuitry neither Inon 2000, nor z220s will work TTL. As far as I know, the only way you could get pseudo TTL would be to use the D70s internal strobe and have the optical fibre from the 2000 "looking" at it.

  3. Does Inon make a unit that turns an electrical signal into an optical signal tha may be compatible in this case?

Note: As of October 2004 the only camera systems confirmed as fully compatible with this product are the Nikon D100 + Nexus D100 Housing and the Nikon D70 + Nexus D70 Housing.
  4. Thanks bobf, I didn't know about that product.

    However, reading the fine print...

On compatible digital camera/housing systems, allows use of shutter linked auto-OFF Focus Light/LED, to aid focusing and strobe aiming, but not influence the exposure.

My reading of that is that it would still not provide iTTL (or equiv), but would allow other functions such as focus light. I may be wrong and would be very interested to be proven so. :)
