I'm going to the seychelles in oktober. during my stay (1 week mahe, 1 week praslin) we would love to do some diving.
What are the conditions like during this time of year? (water temp. viz.) any tips on dive sites to get some good shots (mostly macro)?
thanks for the info.

I've been to the Seychelles a few times, not recently though, and for me they are a great combined holiday and dive destination.
October is whale shark season. I would suggest that you concentrate on wide angle and try and get on some tagging dives.

Alan James is a British UW photographer and retailer who was in the Seychelles last October (2004) and his images can give you an idea of what to expect.

I've heard there's been some coral damage in Praslin from the tsunami. You may also want to check out the Indian Ocean Explorer to Aldabra, which probably has the best diving around the Seychelles.
