A friend of mine is going on our up coming trip to Soccoros (23 Feb 05). She has previously shot her Oly camera with the in camera flash. She has an old strobe and arm system from her Nikonos days. A picture of what she has is included. Questions are as follows: What does she need to fire this strobe with this housing? Is it possible to use at all? Does the housing have an attachment so that the tray can be attached to the housing? Does it need a special screw or attachment? Is it possible to use one of the fiber optic cable systems with this camera or does she need to get a new strobe?
Thanks for input from anyone who has used any of these components.
Sorry, I thought the housing was in the picture. Her camera is an Oly c 750 and the housing is the Oly 018.
I guess the basic question is can the strobe she has be adapted with one of the optic fiber cable systems to work with her camera and housing? Or does she need to get a new strobe and if so which ones are usable with her camera and housing?
Has any one used this camera and housing? If so did you use an external strobe? And base plate + handle? Which ones? Can the Sea and Sea base plate be adapted to this housing? Can the standard Ike base plate/ handle system be adapted to this housing or do you need a different Ike base plate handle?
Thanks again if you have any knowledge of this system
Hi Dave
You can use this TTL adaptor (http://www.mike-dive.de/) to trigger the S&S strobe so that it works with the Olympus. I have seen the English version of the website but I just cannot find it for u.
The S&S base plate can still be used with the housing and strobe.
Cheers
Eric

prior to ordering. The YS 50 TTL/S may need modifications in order to work.
