  2. Ahhh Grand Turk, some of the best Caribe diving there is. Nice image of a Graysby?? in a phase?? Very good focus and color. Did you see the new pier in GT? Have they left the old pier intact? I hope so, it held a couple of large seahorses and a batfish.

  3. Wow....excellent first post :)

Very sharp with good lighting and color....well done....nice background also

  4. The new pier is not built, however I believe the dredging was just finished. The new pier is south now, rather than across from the Library, which is what everyone thought originally. Carnavel will have its own little area of shops down that way, so I suspect it doesnt affect ALL of Grand Turk, although property value has really skyrocketed (yep, I should have bought 3 years ago).

The little old pier is sadly gone. This was my favorite dive, especially at night, where we'd see lots of seahorses, batfish, crabs, slipper lobsters....all in 10 feet of water. I have dove that pier nearly 10 years now, and really missed it this time around. I was pissed off.

Nicely though, the 'Library' is still a great dive. THe Osprey Beach Hotel just gets better every year....they now have pool side wireless internet! And of course, Diving with Mitch of Blue Water Divers is still by far the best of the 3 shops out there.

I also went whale watching....and while seeing 5 breaches was pretty darn amazing, the experience of chasing mom and baby half the time was weighing my ethics down a bit.

Thanks for the kind words guys!
