  2. Lovely image. Is that the actual color, or are the worms "really" more white?

  3. they definately should be whiter. I did that on my laptop....really the wrong place to be playing with images. And that was a nice way of you to say my color is wrong. :)

When its ready for print, ill go back to the raw image, play with the levels on my calibrated monitor.

  4. Hi Stuart,

If you are developing the RAW files in Photoshop, try using the white balance eyedropper (it's in the upper left). Click on the white part of the worm and see wha happens.

    Cheers

  5. I am using Nikon Cap 4 on my laptop. I made the grave mistake of updating to 4.2 on my laptop, which only has 512mb ram. 4.2 seems to be a memory hog, and i lacked patience as I was playing with these.

On my main workstation, I use Phase 1 Capture One Pro. These images will all get redone prior to print or stock display. Unfortunately, I spend more time on the road than in front of my workstation here at home. I was just in a rush to share here...trying to be an active participant. Post production shouldnt really be done on a dell lappy.

I never touch a raw file in photoshop. CS is still sitting in the box here, unopened. Too used to the other tools already.

  6. Thanks for sharing the photo Stuart - I didn't mean for my post to sounds like a criticism.

    Cheers

    James

  7. naw....im one of those who LOVE crits. the harder the better. I realize I'm new here, so people are always nice to offer up what they can, you included. I do appreciate that.

  8. I love the composition Stuart! Maybe you can post it again once you change the white balance. It would be interesting to see the comparison.

    Peace,

    David
