I have just bought the Olympus PT-016 for my Stylus 410 and have read that it is suggested to buy a URPRO filter to go with it. So far I have not even seen the housing because I just bought it on Ebay today. I am a beginner in U/W photography and have limited funds (which is why I didn't just buy a better camera). So anyways, I'm diving in the Caymans in 2 weeks and need to know if I in fact will need a filter and how to install it. Are there any other parts that I will need to install the filter? How do I take care of it? etc etc etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks a lot B)

Help with Installing/using URPRO filters

Hi Eric
It depends on your camera fitting. The URPro filters are fanastic when you are going to only use ambient light - and they correct the usual blue cast. Like most photographic filters they come in different sizes and fittings.
I'm afraid I don't know your specific camera model or housing; but if you go on the websites for both, you should be able to find out how to attach a filter. You can then order the right thing from URPro. The filter will either screw on to the front of the camera lens, or, possibly, push-on to the front of the camera housing's lens cover. Either works (if its a push on though you need some kind of safety tether)
To take care of them simply rinse if an external push-on. If its a screw-on to the camera, take care of it the way you would with any camera filter: use a lens brush and lens wipes.
Good luck with it - and enjoy Cayman. Lucky you!!
