Dell cancels my order...

5 posts
  1. I ordered the Canon 10-22 in the last round of coupon discounts from Dell. They backordered it for several days, then today they show the order canceled. I'm filing complaints with the AG and comsumer affairs. This isn't discontinued and they could get more and fill their orders if they wanted to.

  2. Bandit,

When I tried to order to order the same lens thru them on 10/21 they told me that the didn't carry it. I am still waiting on my 100mm and camera from them. It is suppose to arrive today. It shows something back ordered on the order but I don't know what. I hope I don't get an email from Dell today cancelling my order I will be sick. :D

  3. Bandit,

I just called Dell its my 20D body that is back ordered not my 100mm lens. They say it should ship soon. I hope they will be true to their word. Just as info I bought my 10-22mm from onecall.com and it shipped yesterday. It may not be the cheapest place but, I knew they had it and it would ship right away. So I guess I will sit and wait to see if Dell comes thru on the camera body. :D

  4. Dell, useless, they still owe me $250 for sending the wrong part for my computer.

  5. I attempted to order a computer from Dell last fall. They had an online price which looked good. When I tried to order it online the price changed: up $400!

I called their service centre, which you can be sure was offshore, and by the time the guy was through quoting me a price on the same system, it was now $800 higher. If you look at their fine print on the site, it states something to the effect that if an item's price is incorrect, they will cancel your order. When I questioned them about this being false advertising, they took my number and said a supervisor would call me back. Needless to say, they didn't. Ironically, they keep sending me brochures now weekly...like I would deal with them.

I'm sorry for your troubles. I hope all works out for you.

    Cheers,

    Marli
