  1. I went diving today at Santa Cruz Island on the Vision. I was suppose to dive the Conception today but the boat is not operational at this moment (due to theft and beaching). I met up with Matt Segal again on this trip. It's nice to be able to pick his brain.

This was my third time using the Canon 20D and Ike housing. It was my first time using the 100mm Canon macro. I shot it on all of my 3 dives today.

The last time I posted, a couple members posted back and gave me some really helpful hints. Comments are welcomed again!

  2. Nice shots.

Looks like you guys had great conditions!

  3. Hi. Nice photos. The images look sharp and the colour's quite good. Can I ask you what strobes you used for these shots?

  4. Right now for most shots I'm using a DS 125 on the left side and a DS 50 on the right side. It seems like the TTL on the Ikelite 20D housing works pretty good so while I'm learning I'll probably continue to use it.

The DS 125 is a new purchase. The DS 50 is something that I bought last year for a point and shoot Sony P10. I'll probably add another DS125 in the near future. For 50mm and 100mm macro, I've been leaving the diffusor off on the DS 125 which enables me to easily turn on the builtin focus light in low light conditions. Using the focus light seems to really help with the focus and thus getting some sharp pictures. Once I get good focus, I'll swing the DS 50 into some different positions to get different angles of fill light.
