Help finding best price on Aquatica D70

5 posts
  1. Been shooting N90 + Aquatica for several years and I just moved to D70 body. LOVE it on land and now time for a housing. Have to go with Aquatica D70 dual-strobe housing to retain investment in ports, etc. Price is an issue. Anyone had a particularly good purchase experience on the D70 housing lately? TIA.

  2. Are you asking for experience with the A70 (which I do not have) or experience with a retailer for the purchase?

If the latter, Call Ryan at Reef Photo, a sponsor here and an amazingly helpful guy!

  3. I am a new convert to housings, I used the Nikonos for 10+ years, I purchased my Aquatica housing from Tom Stack last fall http://www.tomstackphoto.com/

I had a shop that I had used for years, a very reputable shop and one that I had really liked. I had requested price qoutes and waited and waited, after calling again and still did not recieve a quote I went looking around. Several google searches later I had a list of places to check out. One was Tom Stack. I gave him a call and we chatted for a while. It seemed a good fit so I went for it.

His service was very good, called me right back when I needed, answered all my questions and was very personable.

I am having a blast with this housing and the digital world, off to Monterey, CA this weekend to play with it!

  4. Ryan and Reef Photo. Excellent advice and service. Pre and post sale. And as Richard mentioned, they are a site sponsor.

  5. Have you called Dave Marsh at Underwater Photo-Tech. Dave has probably forgotten more about photography than I'll ever know. I bought my Aquatica from him and he was very helpful. I live in NH so I can go right to the store but Dave does business worldwide. Call him at 603-432-1997. I'll bet he'll give you a great price. Good luck...
