I have the 300D and have been using the Canon 100mm macro and Sigma 15mm FE underwater. I'm going to the Galapagos in June and am wondering about lenses to take. I'm not sure whether to bother with the macro (that would probably be the dive where the whalesharks showed up ), and want to feel comfortable that I've got lenses with me that are suitable for shooting both underwater and topside. I also have the kit lens, which is what I've been using primarily for land shots.
Recommendations appreciated. Thanks.
Ellen
My underwater kit is very similar to yours. My next lens for underwater (though it would work nicely on land) will probably be the 17-40 to replace the kit lens as I am beginning to not be satisfyed with the 18-55.
For topside you'll probably want a Longer lens - land animals generally wont let you get very close. A 70-200 (/4 or /2.8 depending on how much you want to spend) would be a good choice.
Thanks for the feedback.

I recommend the Canon 10-22mm for wideangle. At the wide end it will give you about the same view as your 15mm Sigma, but at the long end, you will be able to get shots of big animals that are further away, like the shy hammerheads, etc.
For topside, the 100-400 IS USM is an excellent all-round choice but it's about $1,500. The 75-300 IS may be an alternate for you at a lower cost.
