TTL for Ikelite D70 housing

4 posts
  1. I presently have a Nikon D70 with 12-24mm lens mounted in ikelite housing, I use Nikon 105's as strobes - My question is it worth it to have housing converted to TTL when available & then added expense of Ikelite D-125 strobes - as I understand only the Ikelight Strobes will function with the TTL? -JimK

  2. Hi Jim,

Check the thread "TTL Anon" at the top of the DSLR forum for many opinions on this question.

    Cheers

    James

  3. You are correct, in understanding only the ikelite DS-50 and DS-125 will work with TTL, in the current digicams, including the D70.

Are you unhappy, with the shooting and/or results you are getting in manual?

  4. I am satisfied with my current use of manual settings on strobes, however I was concerned about doing macro and would TTL be better than manual? Jim K
