Little Cayman, April 2005

I will appreciate any comments/criticism especially. We dived with Reef Divers and stayed at Little Cayman Beach Resort and they were excellent - 5 star service.

Hi Jim,

Your photography is very nice, but the image quality is very poor. Lots of noise/grain in the shots. I am confused as to why you switched from a F90 to a Oly 2020. You have some excellent accessories for the 2020 (Inon WAL and D2000 strobes) and you clearly know what you are doing. But you are being let down by the camera in the middle of it all.

I very rarely tell someone to buy a better camera - but you should. Even a second hand 5050 would make a massive difference.

But nice to see some pix from LC. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments Alex. I moved from film 3 years ago and had I not drowned my 5050 at the start of this trip would have been using it. The 2020 was my original 'toe in the water' digi which my wife now carries around and on this occasion sacrificed to me to stop my bottom lip tripping me up. All the kit was for the 5050, and I am currently scouring e-bay for one.

Whoops. I should have thought of that (or at least read your signature).

I was wondering why you had all the accessories on the 2020. Sorry to hear about the flood. Hope you find a replacement 5050.
