Well I have finally got the nerve to show some of my own pics for, hopfully positive critique. I have been reading posts and veiwing pics for some time but felt mine wern't good enough but then figured without others comments and advise they might not get any better. Please follow the link below and feel free to comment. Also on my little space on the web there is a link to a forum for people into marine fish keeping please feel free to join and help swell the numbers.

Almost every shot in your gallery is from the perspective of a snorkler. Get below your subject and shoot up so that you have some blue water in the background rather than sand.

Hi -
I like your Napolean Wrasse photo the best. Definately move in closer and shoot your fish straight on to see their eyes, and shoot up as well. A lot of the fish you are photographing are quick swimmers...Ive never even been able to get within 20 feet of a Picasso trigger.
Pick up a copy of "The essential underwater photography manual" by Denise and Larry Tackett... This will help you with the basics as well as composition and other technical aspects (shutter speed and aperture settings).

You have some really nice shots, my favorite is the moray.
Continue to shot, at the end its a matter of practice more then anything.

Good start. Get closer, get lower, hold breath longer. Push camera to the limit.
