After agonizing hours of research, I decided to pull the trigger and get a Fuji f810 with housing. Now, I can't find a place to buy it in the United States! (Figures). Would people recommend the Fuji housing or the Ikelite one? Is there a big difference between the two? Can someone point me in the right direction!
Thanks,
Kevin
Ikelite housing is more rigedly built but the Fuji housing is ok. If you re going to mount a strobe on either of them, you will need to look at a separate tray, but you can do that down the track.
REEF photo and video (click link on RHS of this page) has the Ikelite housings in stock and BH photo had stock of the Fuji housing last time I looked. Also buydig aparently have good prices on the Fuji camera and housing.
The F810 is hard to find because it Fuji only brought one shipment to the US. When it's gone there won't be any again. For now you can still buy from places like TriState, but the big places like B&H are out.
You may need to rethink such a purchase. Should there be a problem, you may need to get another camera outside the US.
If you do decide on the F810, definitely get the Ikelite housing. No contest.
