Yesterday when I tried my Sea&Sea DX-D70 for the first time I had som problem with the Sub-Command dial/knob. I'm taking photo manual and using the Sub-Command dial for the aperture. There is no problem to turn it one way (make the aperture smaller) but to turn it the other way was impossible with drygloves and later yesterday I tried to turn the dial at home and it was very stiff. All other knobs and buttons works fine and
Is there anyone else having this problem? How to solve it?
Cheers!
I have heard that some people have this problem and that there is a fix. I suggest you contact Sea & Sea directly.
In the meantime, if you adjust aperture more than speed, you can reverse the roles of the command dials with custom setting #14. Then the command dial will control aperture and the sub command dial will control speed.

I've just got back from my first trip with the same housing and had the exact same problem, although perhaps worse.
On the second dive the control locked completely. I got round this by swapping shutter speed and aperture using the menu whenever I wanted to change one or the other. A real pain but saved my trip.
The series of gears used on this control did not seem to mesh properly and this was causing the locking.
I will be contacting my dealer shortly to find out his proposed solution.
I contact my dealer today and it seams that Sea&Sea have known this problem for a couple of month. They will send me some new gearwheel and hopefully the problem will be solved.
