fuji F810 and batterielife

  1. Hello,

I have bought a Fuji F810 with Fujihousing for my wife with the Inon z220 strobe. I felt that batterielife of the fuji is extremely short wenn you use the flash. I have the opticalcord from Inon. what are your experiences and how many pics can YOU make with 1 batterie??

  2. Hi Rob,

I have found that if you dial in flash exposure compensation (on the camera) down to -0.7 (the lowest setting), you get considerably more camera battery life. Given that you will be using the strobe on manual anyway (no TTL with this setup), the on-camera flash is only used for triggering anyway, the compensation has no effect on final exposure.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Hallo Rob ,

I dive with the camera and original housing in cold dutch waters and i get at least 60 images in water that is below 10 degr. C. I also turned down the power of the internal strobe and startup of the camera is also very fast.

When i dove with the camera in warm wters it lasted easily 2 dives.

    Regards Frank

  4. hello Frank,

I also dive in cold dutch waters <_< , do you set strobepower to -0.7 and what other settings do you have for the camera?

  5. Hoi Rob

In my original answer i forgot ot mention that i use a inon d180s strobe so i use the lowest setting for the internal strobe.

In regard to other settings i'm still experimenting with all! This is the first underwatercamera for me so a shoot a lot and it is still hit and miss.

By the way saw a sepia yesterday at the GoesseSas and didn't bring my camera with me ( how stupid can you get !! )

    Dive save Frank
