We spent 3 days on Catalina with about 40 divers from Santa Barbara. We dove Casino Point, a beach dive the first two days. My jaw dropped when I was buzzed by a 300 pound black seabass. I was in so much awe that I forgot to take a picture. On the third day we dove on the Scuba Cat with a total of four divers. That's a big boat to share with a few friends! Viz was about 60 feet.
A week earlier I flooded my DS125. I ordered a replacement battery from Ryan last week and he got it to me before the trip. Luckily the strobe still works.
Some nice shots Will...in terms of suggestions (and a comment to everyone else), you're forgetting to convert your photos from aRGB -> sRGB prior to uploading them to the web. Because (unlike PS and other image software) the majority of browsers don't take into account the color space of the image, and uses a sRGB color space default, images left as aRGB look duller and less saturated than their converted sRGB counterparts.
DS-50 + DS-125?
Interested in the post-processing (if any) on the first juv. Garibaldi picture, great color and focus...
Looks like you're adapting well to the 20D

Thanks for the tip Matt. I'll try out the aRGB to sRGB for web pics.
I'm still shooting the DS125 + DS50 combo. I'll probably order another DS125 in the next month or so.
Post processing was lite on that juv pic.
- raw (no adjustments to WB, exposure...) -> psd -> levels adjustment layer -> curves adjustment layer-very small RGB S curve -> unsharp mask .3 radius
San Miguel this weekend or next on the Truth?
Nice gallery Will, you have a lot of great pics here, but the ones I enjoyed the most are: 6516, 6526 (beautiful yellow polyps in a perfect black surround!) and 6498, this one have a nice composition.
