Pics from 2004

  1. Hi

Had only 2 miserly trips in the whole of 2004, but there were some images which i really liked. Chose some for a competition but since i have yet to hear from the organisers, i guessed they weren't good enough. However I would like to share them with fellow wetpixelians, for it is this forum where I learn all about digital underwater photography. I even bought my second hand stuff from these people :)

Incidentally, these shots were taken on my first and second outing with my Ikelite housed S2 Pro. will be going for my long-awaited third outing next week.

  2. Good pics, I like the 2nd one the best, thanks for sharing!

  3. Nice pics Eric. I really like the close up of the cuttlefish face (I think its #7 in your gallery).

    Peace,

    David.

  4. This picture of the orangoutang crab on bubble coral with flatworms really works for me. Great textures and interesting composition. It is a good reminder that you don't have to stuff the frame with the subject to create a good image.

Only criticism is that the lighting is too obviously coming from a single strobe at the top.

  5. Tks fellas.

Ponsui: I like the cuttlefish shot too becos of the way the eye stands out.

Alex: Actually I was using dual strobes, but beocs it was my first time using my DSLR + dual strobe setup, I really didn't know what happened to the supposedly even lighting now that u have mentioned it. Btw, nice to see u feature in our local dive mag - Fins.
