  1. Hello,

I just bought 2 Inon Z220 strobes. Problem the focussing light and targetlaser stay on when taking a picture. Has somebody a solution for this problem? I have a Subal F4 housing with 2 bulheads.

Will it be ok if I let the focusinglight on when taking pictures, (of course laser wil put off)? will it have any effekt on exposure?

    Rob

  2. Hi,

Did you put magnet to "N" hole ? Pls, try again after you put it there.

  3. Hello Sam,

yes I already did use the magnet. Do you have another solution ? do you think I will see the pilotlight shooting Makrostuff?

  4. Hey Rob

I use a couple of Inon 220s with a Subal housing - although with a D100. It took me a little while too - and advice from my supplier - to get the modelling lights working right.

I found it was not the magnet but the set-up of the strobe connectors in the housing.

I'm not sure how the F4 housing is set-up, but it might be worth seeing if there is a choice of sockets for the strobe connectors (on the reverse of the housing PCB) and try switching them around. I found I needed to use a 5-pin connector (rather than the alternative 3-pin) to get the focussing light and laser to work.

    Worth a look maybe.....

  5. Similar results on the Aquatica S2.

You need to use a 5pin cable.
