  1. Aight, I'm heading back to Costa Rica for the 3rd time this year, and I'm very lucky to be able to say that. For most of the week I will be doing mission work with my church, but for the last 2 days we get to have fun, and that usually involves some diving. The past two years we've headed to the Pacific coast and did the Catalatinas Islands, and Bat Islands. The vis. isn't much out there, but at Catalatinas Island you will see huge schools of rays and you can't beat the Bull Sharks at Bat Island; it's absolutely amazing. But...this year we are switching sides of the country. We will be heading to the gulf side (altantic) and was wondering if anyone knew of any great dive sites out that way. Thanks for your help.

  2. I've only dove on the Pacific side, Drakes Bay (Aquilua De Osa) where we mostly dove Cano island and then at Dive Ocatal in Guanacaste. Great stuff and good for photography. I've spent time in Tortuguero, but didn't dive. What I heard was that the only descent diving on the Carribean side is down south of Limon close to Panama. I've also heard its kind of a rough area.
