Tulamben, Bali - 2 days, 6 dives

4 posts
  1. I was on the magical island to attend a good friend's wedding and managed to steal some time to do 2 days worth of diving in Tulamben, North Bali, with Tulamben Wreck Divers.

I stayed in the Delux room but would have gone for the penthouse next time. The penthouse was HUGE and it has a double bed and a single. Definitely worth the money at USD 40 a nite. Note the superior does not have an attached bathroom., so go for the delux or the penthouse. Dedicated bathroom means that they lock up the bathroom for your private use, but it is outside your room.

Made (read Ma-day) was my dive guide and he was great. The dive ops was smoothly run and I would definitely dive with TWC again. They don't have a restuarant, but Paradise Resort further down the road serves good food at a good price. If u need a post dive massage, just tell your dive guide and he will arrange for you.

Tks for fellow wetpixlian Reefwreck for the heads up. I saw my first har shrimps, although the boxer crabs and blue ring octopus still prove elusive. Wahoo! Note the beach at Tulamben are actually pebbles so after a few walks, your feet may hurt if you are not wearing booties with thicker soles, unless you enjoy extreme foot massages.

  3. with or without the diving, Bali is always worth a visit

  4. Nice pics! I like the crab (# 5 and 6) and the nudibranch (like the one you've posted here) the best, but all of them look beautiful!

Congratulations for your trip and your fantastic shots, thanks for sharing
