As I've told in another thread, I've just used my strobe for the firs time. Resulst are not too bad for macro and colour fishes, better than what I expected, but in silvery fishes annoying relfections appear. I think that it could be because the strobe is in a frontal position here, but I'm not really sure. How can I improve the lighning in pics of silvery fishes? How would you aim the strobe to reduce those the reflections?
This is the pic:
The distance between the school and me was about 1 - 1.5 meter. I used a diffuser.
Thank you in advance
What power setting and F-stop were you using?
Cheers
James
The power setting was FULL, F 7.1, ISO 100 and 1/200. Thanks
Ahh the pain of silver fish...i actually find that i need to cut the power of my strobe when shooting silver fish. I always have them set to full power with diffusers but...when shooting jacks barracuda etc from as close as you are, try knocking the power back to 1/2, also, turning the strobe slightly away or pulling it back further can have similar results
Thank you! I'll try to do that, hope to show here good results next time
