How do I post a few pics?

Hello all,

I feel very lame, but here it goes...How do I post a few pictures here as others have done?

John

There's no image storage here. You need to place your photo at another site. Once you've done that, come back here, start a message, click on the IMG button above the edit area and enter the url for your photo.

It's certainly much easier than it was on the old board.

I'm confused. I have been told that one cannot post photos directly into the forum, yet (for example) Herbko had done just that on the two previous threads. How is this?

Thanks,

John

Hi, John --

You have to upload your photo to be hosted somewhere else (for example, an image sharing site, a print fulfillment site, or your own web page, somewhere), and then point to it from this forum by typing something like this:

[ IMG ]http://www.yourhost.com/image.jpg[ /URL ]

(No spaces between the brackets and the 'URL' or '/URL').

Here's an example:

[ IMG ]http://www.echeng.com/travel/bahamas2002/images/reefsharks/20020715_164949_1_std.jpg[ /IMG ]

... becomes: (again -- remove the spaces)

Eric,

Thanks for the explanation!

I really appreciate all the info I've received from this forum

John

Here's one from PNG.

Very nice! An underwater digicam in 1999! What did you shoot this with?
