On our recent trip to Little Cayman, one of the divemasters knew that Deborah and I loved to find good macro subjects, so he took us to see two Yellowface Pikeblennies. The location used to have a small colony, but apparently only two of them survived Hurricane Ivan. Hopefully, they are a male and a female so they can make little Pikeblennies. We lured them out of their holes with a mirror, and I got some fairly decent photos.
Very cool shots....nice find
Nice exposures too!

Nice shots. I like #1 and #4. On the second one the blenny blends into the background too much and on the third one the bottle`or whatever it is is distracting.
What a strange animal! It's the first time I see something like that. I like 1 and 4th pics the best. It's a very interesting document. Good shots, thanks for sharing
Actually, the mirror was essential for getting the Pikeblennies out of their hole, but it's a little distracting in the photos. I'm going to try to Photoshop the mirror out of some of the photos.
The Pikeblennies were about 2 inches in length. I photographed them with Aperture Priority at f/32 with the Nikon 60mm, shutter speed 1/60th.
