  1. This is one of the first underwater images out of my Canon 20D. Taken with the 10-22mm lens in Vortex Springs. Please Critique.

  2. I find "almost silhouette" photos distracting, so I would darken the diver in photoshop using a curve. I also think it would be stronger if the diver filled more of the frame. Nice sunburst, though.

  3. I'll have to agree with the comment about the sunburst. That is one of the better sunbursts I've seen come out of a digital camera. I also agree that the diver doesn't take up enough of the frame in this image. This image would be stronger if you had shot it in portrait orientation instead of landscape cropping out all the unused space on the sides.

I can also tell its Vortex Spring because of the particulate matter floating in the image. Perhaps you can edit out some of the more distracting particles.

I'm surprised you were able to take any pictures in that place. The water is only gin clear if you're the first diver in the spring in the morning, and the sun looks to be too high in the sky for it to be near morning. I guess it must not have been a busy day at Vortex. Ah, many "fond" memories of my check out dives there. <_<

  4. I agree with the comments about the diver filling the frame, anyway it's a beautiful sunburst, and the effect of the clouds in the sky looks great! Thanks for sharing.
