Southern Cross Club - Little Cayman

  1. Hurricane Ivan was kinder to Little Cayman than to Grand Cayman, but Little Cayman was hit pretty hard. All of the five resorts suffered some damage, and all the boat docks were destroyed. Amazingly, most resorts were back in business within a few weeks.

My wife and I returned recently from our fifth visit to the Southern Cross Club on Little Cayman. They were still rebuilding a couple of cottages, but the place was better than ever. They've added AC to the main building, where meals are served, and there's also a new screened-in veranda for diining.

Without sounding like an advertisement, we LOVE Little Cayman and the Southern Cross Club. We were concerned that Ivan might have impacted the reefs, especially the shallow ones that we love so much, but we saw several species (neck crab, pikeblennies, sea hares, and others) that we had never seen before. The diving was the best we've ever had in the Caribbean.

    My humble opinion!
