Aquatica A4500 housing for Nikon Coolpix 4500 ?

  1. Anyone know if and when Aquatica is coming out with the housing for the Coolpix 4500 digital camera?

I read an archive about it here.

...and was wondering if anyone knows if it's out, how much it costs, and where to get it.

    Thanks

  2. I would just email or call Aquatica and ask them. They have always been extremely helpful with any questions I had.

  3. Is that your housing in the pics?

    Cheers

    James

  4. I don't think that is the prototype I had. It may be the one Pipin used.

I had a second bulkhead connector put on mine for dual strobe. The production model has changed a bit. They put a set screw on the front to eliminate any risk of the port rotating out. They also reduced the port length as it was too long and caused the sides to be blacked out when using the wideangle.

I also went with the upgrade to the handles. A recommended option. You can adjust them to exactly how you would like.

A couple of other minor changes but all good. I will try to find the pics I have of the production model housing set up. They are not the best but

  5. Just got an e-mail back from Blake at Aquatica...

Sorry,we will not be making a housing for the 4500.

    Thank you,

    Blake

  6. Just wondering...

Anyone know of what housings are available for the Nikon Coolpix 4500?

So far, is it just the Ikelite?

  7. i guess the EWA-marine fits the 4500. bur it's just a soft plastic case, not for deep diving.
