TTL UW Flash from Subtronic for D2X

4 posts
  1. got information from subtronic that they will release within the next two weeks the new midi and maxi uw flash for the Nikon D2X using i-TTL.Intersting. Let`s see...

  2. I own 2 Subtronic mini digital and although I am happy with manual control, I am curious to know if Subtronic can modify my strobes to i-TTL soon.

Actually my strobes are Seaflash 100 (Case made by Seacam with Subtronic technic). They promised me to modify as soon as Subtronic finds out the Nikon

    i-TTL control secret.

    Cheers,

    Thilo

  3. I think it will depend on whether the mini's can produce a preflash, which I'm assuming they can

You can email them via www.subtronic.de

    Cheers

    Steve

  4. I heard or read (probably here on WP) that they will use Matthias's iTTL-converter for that.

I have ordered the same converter from Matthias, to install it in my Ike-housing to use it with my SS100A's. I will not have full iTTL-controll, but at least I will have more powersettings of the strobe, simply by adjusting the flashoutput in camera.

It will not work as conveniënt as working with the manual EV-controllers, but saving a divetrip's budget by not upgrading my two 100A's to two DS125's plus EV-controlers will defenitely overcome this. (Yes, I am Dutch  )
