Sony PC330 and Mirrored TFT

  1. Hi there, I've got a Sony DCR-PC330 DV camera and the Ikelite housing for it.

I had heard that there was a hack someone to allow the screen to go into mirror mode (one of the most annoying omissions from this cameras otherwise great functionality).

Is this a myth or can someone point me to how this can be done?

I still find it difficult to accomodate the movement of the housing using the mirror when the camera itself is not mirroring the realtime video...most annoying...so I always end up going left instead of right (and visa versa) for the first split second.

    Hope this can be hacked/fixed!!

    Regards,

  2. Ikelite can supply conversion circuitry that plugs into the camera to reverse the image. Housing should come home for us to add a switch allowing this circuitry to be turned off when you need to make other changes to camera settings. Available mid August. E-mail <ike@ikelite.com> for arrangements. Don't know cost until we try it, but first installation will be cheap............

  3. This sounds encouraging. I'm in the UK though...but happy to send it back...put me down as the first one and give me a good price (guineapig price :D ).

What do I need to do next? I'll email them too.

    Thanks

    Tony
