DS-125 Strobe Arms

5 posts
  1. Hello!

I was looking at Ikelite website and noticed that they have more options in the 1.25" ball size and also quick release handles. Will I find the need to upgrade the arms or will the 4086.61 kit be sufficient. I have a 100mm macro I want to use after I become more proficient with rig.

Also I'm not following which components I would purchase to use the Quick Release handle with ball. What would I need to attach it to Ikelite Rebel Housing?

Any pictures of this set up?

    Thanks!

  2. Do you have the strobe/arms yet?

I find the ikelite arms are not as good as ultralight with the weight of the DS-125. Also the clamps are much harder to adjust underwater, though that may be because I'm having to do them soooo tight with the weight of the strobe.

    cheers

    Lndr

  3. I have the strobe kit, came with 4086.61. Housing was neutral in salt water will be interesting to see how rig behaves with strobe on it. Slated to make rig 5 oz. negative.

What I don't understand is which parts from strobe to my housing do I need to use the quick release handles.

  4. Bottom section of #4086.61 is the #9571.3 component that drops into the Release Handle after removing the little vinyl cap on top of the handle tube.
