I've got the ttl housing for the canon 300d and just upgraded to a second ds125 and dual synch chord. The ttl gear works fine with one strobe on and the old cord, but isn't engaged when i hook the dual cord up. The strobes do fire on manual ok, but I want to shoot ttl. HELP!! We leave for Bali in 1 week.

Quick update,
I tried both strobes on the single cord (as opposed to the dual cord) and found that one works and one doesn't. The serial number on the one that does is 7015 so according to Ikelite, it should be ttl compatible. Looks like I have a bad strobe. If anybody knows of a usage issue or easy fix (other than sending it back to Ikelite), please let me know. If not, the strobe is going back tomorrow.
Double check to make sure the strobe is set to TTL
Karl
Yep, its set to ttl. When it is the LED blinks and the TTL panel on the housing doesn't activate. When I turn it to one of the manual settings, the LED is solid and it flashes. Still nothing on the TTL panel. Its definitely the stobe, because my other one works fine. The crappy thing is when I set plug both of them into my dual sync cable the bad one shuts ttl down for both.
Bummer....I'm sure Ikelite will correct it quickly for you.....
Do you have the red band on the bad strobe?....if not, try that....TTL should then work for the primary strobe and you should be able to use one of the manual settings on the secondary strobe
Karl
Just a general note about Ike dual cords. One end will have a red wrap on it - denoting the "secondary" strobe. I've found that the system will work with the secondary strobe turned off, but if you turn off the primary strobe and leave the secondary on, it will beep - meaning no signal.
You'll also need the cord with the blue wrap on the base meaning "eTTL compatible."
Other than that, I'm not sure what you can do other than send the whole lot to Ike.
Cheers
James
OK, the story has a happy ending. I talked to IKE on monday and they had me send the strobe in. They replaced both the bulkhead and TTL circuitry. I had the stobe back in 2 days and everything is working like a charm. Ready for Lembeh!
