D2H fits into D2x housing...really?

I've been waiting for the release of the Aquatica D2x housing, then ran across this quote from Fred (speaking of a conversation with SeaCam):

Anybody have a D2H in a designed-for-the-D2X housing? As I recall the Subal was originally built around the D2H chassis, since the D2X wasn't available then.

It fits in the Subal because the housing was designed for it. My housing is actually labelled as an ND2H! And in fact I had a D2X in the Subal housing before Subal!

Dunno about the other brands.

As Alex mentioned Subal was first to market with the D2X Housing because they were already shipping the D2H housing. We demo the Subal D2X housing at trade shows with a D2H body installed.

Will try to confirm today, but my guts say its a shoe in, aside from a rear button and dial used for vertical use (not accessed for u/w use) the physical are identical.

Well its confirmed, D2hs fits in the Aquatica housing like a glove. BTW I will be giving the Aquatica D2x housing its sea trial on saturday. will post my obliously partisan opnion on the venerable website.

The D2h and D2x are the same camera externally. I have both cameras. The D2h fits d2 housings just fine. At least it does in my Nexus D2 housing.

I'd hate to have to saddle myself with a single-use item (for me) like the D2X! Oh, the horror.
