Great customer service from Ikelite

  1. Just wanted to pass along a bit of praise for the great folks at Ikelite. NO, I am not connected to them in any way. Just have used their products over the years. I bought a complete system for an Oly 8080 right before leaving on a trip to Bonaire. Left all the Nikonos stuff at home to make myself learn the digital way. Bought the camera, housing, wide angle port and lens and the DS-125 package. I know I should have tested all this before we left Florida, but the camera arrived the day before we left. I actually had all the Nikonos stuff packed. Anyway, upon arrival here the strobe wouldn't fire. Called Ikelite went through the troubleshooting process and determined it just wasn't going to fire. The same day, Sandy at Ikelite air-expressed me a loaner strobe to Bonaire. Would have had 2 days ago, but somehow they lost it between Curacao and Bonaire. Sandy followed up on it at her end several times a day while I bothered the people here on Bonaire. I received it today and dove it this afternoon. That is great customer service and way you slice it. Even got a late Sunday night email from Ike telling me he'd look into it himself. Kudos to the staff at Ikelite all the way around.

Now, if I can just figure out how to work this thing on TTL.
