  1. Here are a few more shots from my weekend in Eastport. Eastport is a good base to visit various sites on the Bay of Fundy. My favorite dive is Deer Island Point and all of the u/w images presented here are from that dive site. I picked them to show the density of marine life present there

  2. Love the Flounder shot Larry. It's hard to get a shot of one of these off the bottom.

  3. great to see professional quality images from new england waters......

  4. Nice work Larry. I like the first one and the bug-eyed flatfish. What kind of viz? and Temp?

  5. Very nice! I really like the anemones and the color on the sunrise.

  6. Beautiful photos. The underwater environment looks amazing.

Are those little shrimps on the Flounder?

  7. Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. The water temp varied with tide and location between 46-51f and vis was about 15 ft. Because of the tidal flow there's not much of a thermocline. It's just as cold at the surface as it is at depth. One nice thing is the fact that at low tide slack there's 20ft less water. Also because most of the dive-sites are along the sides of deep passages between the islands, surface conditions are usually relatively calm. Conditions around Eastport are never ideal but the abundant marine life makes up for the harsh conditions.

Laz, I'm not sure what those thingies are on the flounder but they're probably some type of parasite. I don't think they're shrimp.

  8. Great colours on the anemones and the flounder. The sunrise is lovely. Reminds me what a poor top side photographer I am.

I think that they might be parasitic copepods on the flounder?
