This one was a bitch to take, orange whip coral shrimp. The whip was moving a lot and so was the shrimp...

  2. Man I miss that area. In this case I'd agree with Alex that you need to concentrate on eye composition. I do know that in many cases the frogfish are in wierd positions and it makes it difficult to compose the eye so it's prominent and sharp. Aren't you shooting the 5050? That is harder to get good composition in macro because you have to get so close and put the strobes in the right position as well. I used my 5060 set up in Lembeh when my housing busted. It was REALLY hard to shoot super macro because you had to get the animal right in front of the glass and the strobes too. So as a whole, I think you are making serious headway. Nice job.

  3. Hi Corby,

Was great to run into you in Tulamben - small world eh! Can't wait to check out your shots - just getting back online.

  4. So the Harlequin Shrimp are at Police Pier huh.

I was in Lembeh a few weeks ago, actively searching for Harlequins. I never found any and I dove Police Pier twice!

I guess I'll have to go back.

Nice shot of the Orange Whip Coral Shrimp. I agree with you, these shots can be very difficult.
