  1. Just got back from the solomons, awsome place. I saved copys of my stuff on an external hard drive from my lap top. Being a computer newbe, how do I copy the files from the external hard drive to my home pc?, so i can show some here?

  2. Most of the external HD are connected to the computer by USB cable, usually you just have to connect them both and turn on the external HD and it will appear as regular HD in your computer file system explorer.

A good idea is also (and always) to read the manual of your device.

  3. i would also recommend read manual ...

    however ...

it works the same way it works with your laptop ..

plug it into desktop .. and transfer files from external drive to desktop

if you can get them on you can get them off the same way :)

  4. Most PC's today will also automatically recognize the external hard drive without having to load any drivers. You should have a USB plug of some kind that will go from your external hard drive to the back (or in some cases the front) of your PC. Plug in the USB with the external hard drive turned off. Once plugged in, then turn on the external drive. In MY COMPUTER, you will see a new drive that will represent your external drive.

    Hope that helps.
