  1. We lucked out and there were at least FIVE harlequin shrimp on the house reef at Scuba Seraya while we stayed there. Here's one of my favorite shots, taken with the Sigma 150mm and Canon 500D:

  2. The Harlequin shrimp is probably my favourite shrimp. I shot one at Seraya last year, but would love a pair like this. Fingers crossed that they hang around for the next two weeks!

    It's a nice pic, BTW.

  3. I have to agree, I first saw Harlequins last year and think they are pretty amazing. Nice capture.

  4. Nice find. I just wish the background was more out of focus. My eye keeps being drawn to the starfish arm in the bacground on the upper left corner.

  5. I see what you mean - that's actually a Crinoid arm.

Here's a closeup - unfortunately, I JUST clipped off the top of the shrimp - argh:

My favotite shrimp as well (and I still havn't seen it yet)

  7. Nice shot James. I had a pair to shoot near the Liberty wreck when I was there, but they where never on the same plane so that I can get both in focus.

  8. I love these shrimp .. Alex or James as you have been here .. what are the differences apart from colour on the Harlequin Shrimp we get here ? I know ours are very small .. but these seem equally as small.
